Disabled performers forced out of work by Greenwich Council

Compliant 006 disability discrimination made to Greenwich Council and UK Latin Community

On Thursday 29th August 2024 the ''UK Latin Community'' event was held beside the Cutty Sark, this included a large sound stage.

There are two regular disabled musicians and performers who legally and lawfully work and perform at this same site and have been doing so for over 8 months.

When the disabled people attempted to start work the ''UK Latin Community'' turned their music up so loud as to brake legal sound decibel limits, over 100 db, in order to drown the disabled people out and force them to stop working and lose a days pay.

To our knowledge there were no disabled people working as performers or musicians at the festival. Their was no disability access for disabled performers workers or musicians supplied by UK Latin Community or Greenwich Council, once again making sure no disabled people could go to work.

Greenwich council not only once again forced disabled people out of work, but twice went against Government policy in

not assisting disabled people into work, but doing the opposite and refusing to negotiate with the organisation representing the disabled performers in Greenwich, that being ''Beyond Disability''.

Complaint

1) Why did Greenwich Council and the UK Latin Community not talk to or negotiate with the disabled musicians before hand or on the day, performers who had every right to be working that that day in that location?

2) Who gave UK Latin Community instructions to force the disabled performers to stop working and lose a days pay by drowning out their performance by braking the legal decibel limits?

3) Why did Greenwich Council not inform or communicate with the disabled musicians who were legally and lawfully working on the Cutty Sark site in order for both the UK Latin Community and Disabled performers to share the same space amicably and peacefully?

Complaint 007 disability discrimination made to Greenwich Council

On the 28th August 2024 while two disabled performers were performing on the Cutty Sark site two Greenwich Council employed security guards started harassing one of the disabled workers. The security guards lied to the disabled worker by telling him that ''It is the law that a disabled person going to work as a performer in Greenwich must have a licence''. They were filmed making this untrue statement many times. Greenwich Council had yet again attempted to force disabled people out of work by lieing to them.

Complain

1) Why did your security guards lie to the disabled performer going about their lawful business on the Cutty Sark site?

2) Why wont Greenwich Council negotiate with the organisation representing the disabled performers in Greenwich ''Beyond Disability''?

3) It appears that a number of elected councillors and Greenwich Council employees have rejected 'disability discrimination' emails from ''Beyond Disability'' by putting this name in the SPAM folder.

This goes some way to aptly explaining Greenwich Councils approach to disability discrimination.

It is obvious that Greenwich have a serious legal problem with disabled people going to work in Greenwich
